On Saturday, August 6, the opening day of the , roundup, the titian queen will be crowned In an elaborate ceremonial conducted by the Salem Cherrians of which "Eric, the Red" king of the round up. In private life, "Brick" Head rick of Salem, is a member of the Council of Nobles. Redhead con tests and a musical program by redheaded artists will follow the coronation. i . : Kilties Presenting Concert Saturday Chief Nimmo and his Kilties will appear at the First Christian church for a concert tomorrow night at 8 o'clock. The Kilties now on their third annual tour of the United States and Canada, are the only group now touring which wear Highland costumes. The Kilties have appeared "here twice before. There Is no admis sion charge but an offering will be taken. This group of artists was- or ganized by Chief William L. Kim mo, a Scotch-Canadian. The chief is also the organizer and presi dent of the Cincinnati Caledonian bagpipe band and is an honorary member of the Cincinnati - Cale donian society. Chief Nimmo is well known throughout the United States for his musical endeavors along Scotch lines. Mr. Nimmo is the director, bass and bagpiper of the Kilties quartet. The title of "Chief" came to him through service as chief of detectives in Cincinnati, Ohio.
