Despite Oregon's Jurisdictional Xabdr dispute and aubnormal em ployment conditions in other in dustries, the state unemployment compensation trust fund totalled I5.1S3.008 on May 1. Collections from all sources to May 1 aggregated 17,729.508 while disbursements from the fund coTering Jobless workers amounted to $2,561,500. All ex penses incident to administering the law are paid by the federal gorernment. . " . Fund's Status Good On January 2. 19 3S, start of the claim filing period, total cash in the trust fund was 15,823,552. Collections for April payable May 20, plus accrued interest, were estimated at S490.000. This sum added to the total cash on hand places the cash reserve at $5,653, O0S. Against this is accruing lia bility for benefit payments during the current month. "The fund shows a healthy status." Comptroller J. D. Ber wick declared. - The comptroller pointed out that the sawmill dispute and lack of employment generally exerted .Cumulative effect on the benefit fund because reduced purchasing power was reflected in other in dustrial pursuits.
