Har ris, 61, former resident of this community died suddenly Febru ary 23 at his home near Ontario, according to word here. He suf fered a heart attack while pump ing water for his stock. Funeral services were held Monday, and interment in the cemetery at Vale. Mr. Harris was born near Friend, Neb., May 18, 1876 and came to the Grand Ronde valley with his parents when six months old. March 23, 1902 he was married to Annie D. Conner, who survives. For 10 years they lived on s farm northwest of Jefferson, leaving here December, 1936 for Lyons, later going to Ontario.
