Concerts Scheduled in Corvallis, Eugene Several interesting and widely different entertainments are available within a week to Salem folk who do not mind motoring some distance for their pleasure. Tonight Paul Whlteman is ap pearing In Eugene under the aus pices of the assQCiated students of the University of Oregon and will present modern dance mu sic. There will . be a concert, followed by a dance. On Sunday Madame Amenta Galli-Curcl win -sing a program at Mc Arthur court in Eugene. the concert also being' under the sponsorship of the associated students. At Corvallis Dr. Victor Helser, noted physician and author of many medical books including the popular "The American Doc tor's - Odyssey," will speak on Monday night. This Is one of the series being presented under the auspices of the board of edu cational activities of. Oregon State college. The regular tick ets to the Oregon State concert series will admit holders to Dr. Helser's lecture. - DAV Auxiliary Members Motor to Meeting Mrs. Verne Ostrander, depart ment commander of the women's auxiliary to the Disabled Ameri can Veterans of the World War motored to Forest Grove to give her report of the national conven tion. The Forest Grove auxiliary served a no-host supper to mem bers and guests from Salem and Portland.
