Harris, Hood River, Answers Call to Start - ."-" , in September f: ' - DALLAS The First Christian church of; Dallas has secured" as their new pastor, Rev. ,Ortia D. Harris of Hood River. He will tart his new pastorate; the -latter part or-September. " ' ; Rev. Harris has held charges at Milton. Orei, Kalispell, Mont; Everett. Wash, and Portland, bo fore, reins to Hood River, where he has been for three and one half years. Rer. and Mrs. Harris hare three daughters. Two of them are attending; college and - the third one will attend the Dallas school. Rev. 'Alfred B-iCromwelL- who has served the local church for a year, will leave Dallas to accept a' teaching position1 on the faculty ot the-Northwestern Christian col lege la Eugene. Funeral Held, for:: ; Victim ;bf;Traffic ALBANY -'Funeral serrlces for Mrs. Amy Watson; who died Mon day evening "a" the result of an antomoblle accident, were held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Fisher Funeral - Home. Rer. Alan Banks was In charge of the serrlces. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery: - : ' Mrs. .Watson .was fatally In Jured about 6 o'clock Monday eve ning as she crossed the bignway a mile south ' of 'Albany. She stepped in front of an auto- driven by Roy N. Calloway of Junction City and died a few minutes later at a: hospital. William Sennits had called to Mrs. Watson asking her If she cared to ride Into town, and according to witnesses, she had accepted the invitation and started to the waiting ear.
