IL Yetera was filed in circuit court yesterday, clerks reported that this was the first appeal from a department milk order that has been filed in Marion county. The appeal sets out that Pet ers is In charge of Abe Oregon City Creamery station at 625 North Capitol street and that the order revoking the license was filed April 30 of this year. Doughnut Sale to Aid Fund for Trip Boy Scouts of troop nine, spon sored by the American Legion, are conducting a doughnut sale in an effort to raise the balance of $150 fund needed to send Eagle Scout Bob Whitby .as the city's delegate to the national scout jamboree to be held at Washing ton, D. C, June 30 to July 9, Phil Ringle, scoutmaster, announced yesterday. Whitby was selected by a. ser rlce club committee from among three candidates who received the most votes at a play recently pre sented to help obtain the money to finance the jamboree trip. The scouts' share of the play profits was $60. Whitby will be accompanied by Bob Pound of Salem and Arne Jensen of Monmouth. Evangelical Meet Is Well Attended Gain in Membership Past Year Reported; Two Officers Named The Oregon-Washington con ference ot the Evangelical church swung into full action here yes terday, and among business mat ters considered daring the day were plans for a preaching mis sion of all bishops to be held next fall, at Spokane October 23 and 24 and at Portland October 24 and 25. Bishop E. W. Praetorlus ot Cincinnati, Ohio, is presiding at the business sessions and deliv ered the inspiring sermon at last night's well attended session. The conference made a. net gain of 214 members during the past year. Dr. E. W. Pettlcord, district superintendent and for mer pastor of the Salem church, reported. Lyle H. Willard of Portland Witchlta church was named con ference secretary for the new year and a member of the board of examiners, and T. M.
