Hospital Total Up The popu lation of the Oregon state hospital In Salem exceeded the 2500 mark Friday, setting a new all-time rec ord. Dr. John Evans, assistant superintendent, reported. During the past month 127 new and pa roled patients were received. The average number recently monthly is 80. The new population was an increase of 29 per cent over the total March 1. Stacey, chairman of the tu berculosis seal sale in the county, outside Salem last year, reported at the health association banquet Thursday night that the sale for the whole county increased 33 per cent, with a 7.2 per cent in crease for the county outside of Salem and a 50 per cent increase in the city of Salem sales. Total sales in Marion county were 33547.32. , Car Hit Woman George G. Gould. 1063 Oak street, reported to the sheriff yesterday that his automobile struck a woman nam ed Helen Wright at 21st and Tur ner road at 7:20 p.m. Thursday. She suffered . a minor leg bruise. Jack Casida Held On Attack Charge Jack Casida was arrested by Constable Earl Adams early last night on an assault and battery charge preferred by his father, J. 'H. Casida. Young Casida was placed in the county jail. The water commission is inviting all citizens interested to Inspect not only the control house with its pumps, gauges and . valves but also the interior of the east unit of the reservoir proper. Visitors will be given printed sheets listing the following fea tures of the new reservoir and of the new 100.000 gallon water tower which rises above it. Reservoir: Capacity when full, 10,000,000 gallons. Capacity of each hall, 5,000,- 000 gallons. Capacity 10 times that of old reservoir. "Full water depth 20 feet over area approximately 192 by 384 feet. Full water level six feet high er than old reservoir. Full water level approximately 178 feet above downtown streets. Floor and sloping sides slabs are six inches thick. !
