Order of Eastern Star, Tuesday night to honor Mrs. Hazel Ingram of The Dalles, visiting associate worthy grand matron of the grand chap ter of Oregon. Among the distinguished guests present were Mr. John Gary, as--sociate grand patron of the grand chapter of Oregon; Mrs. Ida May Williams, associate grand matron of the grand chapter of Washing ton; Marjorie Simpson, grand rep resentative for Maryland; rani Schweixer of the credential com mittee for the grand chapter of Oregon; Mrs. F. W. Settlemeir, past grand matron from Wood burn;. Mrs. Minnie Hauser, past grand matron; Milton Meyers, past grand patron; Rex W. Davis, grand patron. ; Two new members were Initiat ed, Mrs. Pauline Scott and Miss Mabel Savage. Members and the courtesy girls exemplified a degree honoring the distinguished guests. Mrs. Wini fred R. Herrick. worthy matron, was the recipient of a gift from the offices on the occasion of her birthday. A memorial was held for Mrs. Sadie Jepson. Mrs. Jessie' Darby was in charge of the entertainment which in cluded a p 1 a y commemorating Washington's birthday. Guild Entertained at Wright Home The Sterling Guild of Calvary Baptist church met last Monday evening with Mrs. Wllma Wright. A trip to Portland was discussed for those who will attend the state W.W.G. convention there Feb. 20 and 21. Florence Tull led devotions on" the topic, "Foun tains."
