Cooks School Success The cooking school held in the school gymnasium Tuesday and Wednesday j afternoons " proved most Interesting to women- who attended. Mrs. L. A. Humphrey was in charge, and all cakes, pies and other baked foods made by her daring these two afternoons were given to the school and were old by; the) students; the pro ceeds to go toward purchasing a radio for the school. About , $13 was realized! from the food sales Mrs. Nettle j Reeves was winner of .the 49-pound sack of flour given to the woman having tbe largest number of visitors pres ent at the; school Wednesday af- ternoon. Various other smaller prizes were given for door prizes. C. Port land had charge of the meeting and gave an interesting talk on "Siam." Miss Belle Faust gave a vocal solo, Mrs. L. K. Dike a read ing and a paper by Mrs. Lee Mor ris. , ' i , It was decided to hold a bazaar December 11 and the following chairmen were appointed: Mrs. F. Gumes, lunch; Mrs. Lee Mor ris, candy; Mrs. C. Rebekah Dinner Attended by 85 DALLAS, Nov. 20. The mem bers of the Almira Rebekah lodge gathered at their lodge rooms Tuesday' evening for a covered dish dinner. The. long table was centered with an attractive basket of fruit flanked by red candles. Mss. Charles Gregory's birthday was celebrated. There ; was over 85 present for the dinner.
