Crosby, 62, retired railroad man of Salem, will be held in Portland today at 2:30 p. m. from the Finley mortuary, it was announced- yesterday. Monroe and Boh Whitby of Liberty at the regular meeting Tuesday night of the Scio troop in its hall above the Morris on store. Monroe la scout execut ive of the Cascade area council and makes his headquarters at Sa lem. Monroe devoted most of the ev ening to instruction in reading the compass, signalling and kindred activities of the scout movement. Whitby gave a short talk on scout dom . in general and emphasized the lasting good which invariably results from earnest and Sincere application of the principles of the movement in dally life.
