Fehl, ex-Jackson county judge, was ordered in an opin ion by the state supreme court Tuesday. . Fehl is now serving a four- year term in ta state peniten tiary for ballot theft. The opinion was written by Justice Bean in a suit brought by Niedermeyer, Inc., against Fehl and others, and modified the decree of Judge Carl Wimber- ly of Jackson county. Justice Kelly dissented. The amount of $2000 was awarded to Kelly and Kelly, Med- ford attorneys: $80.48 to Mrs. Elects Fehl. wife ot the defend ant, and $3,982.35 to Jackson county. Lois Barker Goes To Statewide Job Miss Lois Barker, who for years has been connected with the state and federal employment ser vice herer has been promoted from the position of district statistician to that of assistant to Harry Ket- terman, state statistician for both the state employment service and the national re-employment ser vice, it was announced at the local job office yesterday. Her district position here is being taken over by Marie, Baker, recently connect ed with the Eugene office. In her new position Miss Bar ker will travel to all parts of the state checking up on the state and federsl job-finding services.
