Ann Harding Wins On Quid Custody LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 Blonde Ann Harding of the screen late today scored a sweeping vic tory over her ex-husband, Harry Bannifter, when Superior Judge Lewis Howell Smith ruled she may retain sole custody of her 7-year-old daughter, Jane. Attorneys for both principals, who took the witness stand today in their prolonged dispute over Jane's custody, conferred with Judge Smith for two hours this afternoon, after which he handed down his ruling. The court stipulated that the child may be taken by Bannister from Miss Harding's home for two weekends every three months, provided she is returned by 8 o'clock on Sunday night. Neither parent may leave the state with her, except, in Miss Harding's case, when the actress has ob tained court permission and stipu lation by attorneys.
