They lend a delicious nutlike flavor to many cakes and here is a novel recipe for clubhouse cheese cake that makes a hit with everyone: dub House Cheese Cake Crust: 20 Sugar Honey Maid crackers y cup butter H cup sugar Filling: V cup sugar 1 tablespoon flour teaspoon salt lb. cream cheese or cottage cheese (put through a ric er). 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs Vt cup cream Crumble the crackers tine and mix with soft butter and V cup sugar: Reserver cup of this mixture. Line deep buttered pie plate or small spring form with remainder, pressing mixture firm ly with fingers against sides and bottom of pan. Then mix Vi cuj sugar, flour and blend -thoroughly with cheese. Add vanilla and yolks of eggs and beat; add cream and mix again. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour, mixture into . crumb-lined pan. Spread with remaining crumbs. Bake. In a moderate oven (350 de grees' F.) until center is set, about hour. A marvelous cheese cake; 6 portions. Prepara tion, 10 minutes. Marion County Booth At Livestock Show in Portland Wins Prize The Marion county court Is possessor of a large ribbon and the county fair fund is enhanced by $100 as result of showing made by the Marion county booth at the Pacific International Live stock exhibition in PorUand last week. Pictures of the booth brought back here show it to have been exceptionally attractive and weU representative of the versatile farm production in the county. Roy J. Rice and A. A.
