Uncertain Grn Trade Fears Of Damage Empty Down 2 Cents, Nullifying Wheat Strength; Frosts Aren't Widespread " CHICAGO, Sept. 27.-6Pr-Fisx- j ling - oat of corn trade fears of I heavy crop damage from frost did much to, weaken corn values- to I day and to nullify wheat market turns. Cora showed at times a tumble of more than 1 cents a bushel. Bears in all grains gave sharp at tention also to a break of 2 cents ia wheat jruotations at Bue- 1 noa Aires and to late indication. of rain in Argentina relieving pro- i longed drought. Corn closed unsettled at the same as yesterday's finish to 1 lower, December 58-, wheat unchanged to higher, Decem ber 984-, oats K-off ofr, aad provisions unchanged to 35 cents down. Support Lacking Heavy selling of December corn. a new crop delivery, revealed that 1 the corn market as a whole was 1 without adequate support from buyers. Some heavy frosts were i noted, but lacked the widespread damaging character which many ; traders bad expected. Closing quotations: Wheat September 99; Decem ber 98 May 98-.
