(JP) - With a lc advance in all cubs, butter on the Produce Exchangs for the late session, effective to day, firsts alone being high er, the trade here was somewhat surprised at the comeback. But terfat advanced lc at the same time. Practically steady tone was suggested in the market for eggs although in spots there were re ports of slight pricer-shading. Re ceipts were gaining; Storage preparations were being made. Cheese market Bhowed a very ir regular trade trend and even price during the week. Full strength was continued in the market for live poultry with all sons of chickens in better call than supply. Pricea were firm at the late advances. With only a limited demand, the price on turkeys was a trifle easier for dressed stock with a general top of 2 2c lb. for hens. Receipts were quite moderate. There was an abundance of strength in the country killed meat situation. The entire line was firmly priced with an active call especially for veal and hogs. In spots a firmer tone was sug gested for Deschutes potatoes bnt no improvement was shown in the local situation or at other pri mary points of the Pacific North west. Trading in onions at the source is stagnant in the Willamette val ley with buyers not offering above 13.50 net snd that in a lim ited way while holders in the country were trying to get $4 cental. BY DOGS IN COUNTY Additional reports of loss of stock, mostly sheep, at hands of raiding dogs, were received by the county court yesterday. J. P. Feller, Donald, reported -goat-had been killed at his place and A. B. Hints, Jefferson, reported loss of three ewes and one lamb February 23. Paul Marnach, handling these investigations for the county, dis covered yesterday that three tine sheep run into the river near Tay lor's grove recently were the prey of a large police dog at the transient camp near Mill City. Two large dogs killed six lambs and one ewe ot the Andrew Schmidt flock on Brooks rottte 1. Marnach also found on investiga tion yesterday.
