Sammis announced today. Because of small business toI- ume the St. Johns and Oregon City stores are to close. This will leave the state with 21 liquor stores and 95 agencies. Sammis has returned from vis iting liquor stores in Seattle and British Columbia. "Washington's stores are much more elaborate in their fixtures and are larger than our stores," he said. "They are doing more bus! ness, but I think it is due most of all to temperament of the people. "Oregon's liquor prices are lower than any state except Wash ington. British Columbia charges 60 per cent more than we do."
