The an nual meeting of the Presbyterian congregation was held at the church Tuesday night with a large percentage of the members present. Reports in every depart ment showed progress, except the financial, and steps were taken to overcome this. Rer. H. L. Graf Ions was unanimously elected to the pastorate for the ninth consec utive year. Other officers elected: I. E. Cutsforth and Scott Jones reelect ed elders; J. B. Brown and J. C. Adams, also elders; John S. Har per, re-elected and Robs Cutsforth and Mrs. Robert Harper trustees; Ralph Harper and Mrs. V. O. Booster,' superintendent and as sistant superintendent of the Sun day school. The church year starts April 1, and with an optimistic outlook for the future. Sawyer Honored C. A. Sawyer was 80 years young Sunday, March 5. He was happily surprised when his daugh ter, Mrs. Alice Eagleson of Eddy vine, and her four children ar rived to have dinner .with him. Others of their children calling during the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Weisner and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Rickard and family, Mr. and Mrs. K. D. Mrs. William Maurer slipped and fell Monday as she was going out to feed the chickens and Injured her back. A physician was called and he ordered her to remain in bed for two or three weeks.
