Locally there was so much, competition for freezing that ' values were also help up. Little consumptive call here. Strong tone continued in the market for country killed calves with sales up to 8 cents gen erally on the street. There was an acute shortage of quality country killed lambs and this was reflected in prices. Ewes at 4 to 7 cents pound show one of the highest price ranges here tor a number of years past.
