IS HELD OF VALUE
Thoueh culling will not make
high producers of a low producing
flrvt of hens, the value of culling
has never been greater than at the
present time, according to a new
extension service bulletin. "Cull

F. E. Fox at Oregon State college.
PnlUnsr on a. definite, recogniz

the low, unprofitable producers.
Tt will not take the place ot sound
management, good breeding, prop

not a cure-all fer the evilsthat
hara rone before. In fact the de
gree of culllng' neceesary or the
percentage of culls may be an in
dication of faulty management.
in tha bulletin Professor Fox
discusses when to cull, points In
culling, and convenient practices
to follow in catching and exam-,

then adds that It Is more or less
