local trade, although there was no
ehange suggested in week end
value. Even the produce ex
change bear leaders were unable
to force further reduction la
cubes for the week end session.
Make of butter was seasonably
liberal In practically every sec
tion of the country. Output of

surprisingly liberal and at a time

surplus appeared the uncovering
of the flooded low lands which

SILVERTON, Aug. 5. The
Winlock Handle factory at Silver
ton of which T. T. Leonard is
president, is operating nnder the
35-hour blanket code of the N. R.
A. which was approved Saturday
at Portland at a Pacific coast
gathering of handle manufactur
ers. The blanket code will be au
tomatically suspended as soon as
provisions contained in the revis
ed lumber code go into effect.
The adoption of the blanket code
has increased employment at the
local factory by five men.
