The Baptist church choir attended the revival meeting at Crabtree Monday night, and sang two special num bers. The male quartet also gave a special number. Rev. Ernest Ralston of the Scio Christian church is conducting the meetings at Crabtree. Mrs. Enoch Shelton, who has been In poor health for several months, is to enter the Albany general hospital Friday afternoon and will undergo a major opera tion for the removal of a cancer ous growth. Polk Declamatory Contests Slated For Late in May INDEPENDENCE, April II The Polk county declamatory eon test will be held May 25 and ST, with the oratorical and extempore divisions at Falls City on the 25th. The humorous and dramatics di visions will be held at Indepen dence on the 27th. Snyder Hurt Slightly as Truck, Car Crash AURORA, April It M. V. Un derwood of Portland, going south through Aurora, at noon Wednes day, hit a light milk delivery truck being driven by Mrs. L. J. Snyder as she was leaving the highway going north. Mrs. Snyder was slightly scratched above the eyes and received minor shock from the Impact. The track was slightly damaged.
