stole some wood front the wood
shed of the Whiskey Hill school
last week. The imprint left by
the tires plainly showed bow the
truck backed np to j the wood

dropped occasionally on the. way
to Hubbard. The state police are

Evangelical church and members
of the Christian Endeavor society
attended the rally of the endeavor
societies of the Salem district,
held at the Eugene Evangelical
church Sunday afternoon and ev
ening. There was an -.unusually
large attendance and the talks
given on the work of the different
departments by Under Launer.
John Rudln, Rev. Paul Pettlcord
and Rev; C P. Gates were In
structive and helpful.
Lunch was served to over 200
people. In the basement of the
church. Stunts given by repre
sentatives of each society . were
