While the early estimates called for 600 head of the entire rail supply, 432, came either direct or on contract to killers. Prices were barely steady to weak as compar ed with the -current week's earlier transactions. The light butchers ranging in weight from 170 to 205 lbs., varied in price from 111.61 to 11.85. Scattered head of rough heavy packing sows cashed at $9.00 and some smooth big weights on the butcher order scored 310.00. "No feeder pigs had been offered up to this writ ing but killers took a little pack age of 133 lb. pigs at $11.00. Strictly choice car lot butchers are still believed quotable up to $12.00 and schedules were con tinued nominally as of Wednes day. Cattle: Next to nothing had moved in the cattle division up to a late hour. The fresh supply was estimated as 35 catle and 10 calves, all expected in trucks. The equivalent of eight loads or so of Monday's holdovers still await bida satisfactory to sellers. The morning sales were limited to a few low cutter and cutter cows at $2.50 to 3.50 and scattered head of common grade under 900 lbs. Bteerg at $5.50 to r.75. Quota tions for all classes were contin ued nominally as of Wednesday. Sheep: Estimates for the sheep division were placed at 500 heads. The rail supply- numbering 380 was nearly all on contract and buyers were showing no Interest in the few drive-ins during the morning session. One little pack age of good 95 lb. lambs was pick ed up at $8.00 whilS two very small lots of medium grade TO lb. and good grade lit Ib. lambs scored $5.00.
