Other Kansas people in town are Mr. and Mrs. W. Dean who arriv ed Saturday from Delops. Kansas for a visit with their son, W. L. Dean and family. 50 ME WORK ROAD CHANGES MADE VALSfcTZ. June 11 Fifty men were -cut working on the county road Sunday, the road bed of which:. Ie to be changed in sev eral places. Four Polk county trucks are to be uted in hauling the gravel. The road Is to be changed from going by the C. and M. ranch, (managed by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Steiger) to go the old railroad grade. F. McCall of Brush Col lege and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cook of West Salem left the first of this week to attend state grange at Redmond. Mrs. Mc Call Is state grange lecturer and Mrs. Cook Is state grange Ceres.
