The various chairman will se

each of the nine countries. This
rclection has not yet been com
pleted. The program committee for the
next district meeting which win

1931 in Hillsboro with the Coffee
club acting as hostess, has been
announced. Mrs. C. H. Emmott, Is
chairman and with her will be
Mrs. Thomas Connell, and Mrs.
Lena G. Peters all of Hillsboro;
and Mrs. John Frances Dobbs, of.
Forest Grove; , Mrs. David Wright
of Salem.
Mrs. Fargo announced Friday
that the Portland federation of
women's organizations, the Yam
hill county federation and the
Washington county federation had
all three voted unanimously to
enter the third district or the
state federation.
Encinitis Club
Closes Club Season
The Encinitis club held its last
regular meeting Thursday night
at the Argola at 6:30 o'clock with
Miss Dixie Matthews, member of
the National Council of Business
Girls, as honor guest.
Following the dinner hour of
ficers were elected for next year.
Hiss Alice Falk will serve as
president; Mildred Judson, vice
president; La Vada Garter, secre
tary; Mabel Curry, treasure Miss
Matthews gave an interesting talk
after the business session ' was
closed.

tesses. The afternoon's entertain
ment consisted of music, vocal and
instrumental readings and educa
tional contests. At the tea hour,
Miss Helen Gosser assisted the
hostesses in serving.

Clubmembers Urged
To Attend Meeting

the clubhouse at which time a
vote will be taken on the change
In the constitution which will
bring the meeting on Friday aft
ernoon rather than Saturday. This
matter is of importance and it 1s
being urged that all members be
present to east her vote concern-,
ing the change. .
There will be' no program meet
ing. Reports wljl be given by
members- of standing committees
and special reports will be given
by committees who worked on the
recent federation plans.
A tea meeting and social time
will mark the close of the last
meeting of the year for the Sa
lem Women's club.

Enjoys Meeting
The members of the D. K. P.
club met at the home of Miss
Doris Pickens on Tuesday eve
ning. The time was pleasantly oc
cupied with sewing and conversa
tion and at a late hour the host
ess served dainty refreshments.

left this morning for Seattle where
they will spend the weekend with
relatives, going at this time to
visit Edwin Socolofsky who will
leave June H to spend ten weeks
in the Orient. Mrs. D. D. Socolof
sky who has been spending a
fortnight in Seattle with her son,
will return with them.
