FreakTiree
Found Near
Selah Area
CENTRAL HOWELL, May 1.
Thre is a tree on Reuben Eggi
man's place near Selah Springs
which is an odd freak of nature.
At the base of this tree is an
outcropping of roots which forms
a sort of edge to feet in circum
ference and about two feet high.
Out of the middle of this clump
grows a maple tree or what looks
like four maple trees as there are
four main trunks extending up
from these roots. -At a height of
10 feet a fir tree emerges from
the trunks of themaple and stands
straight and tall, possibly 60 feet,
while the four maples spread out
a little surrounding the lower part
of the fir.
