Mr. and Mrs. 8. H. Bond re turned home from their Califor nia trip Friday. ; Surprise grange No. 233 hold their regular monthly meeting Saturday and obserred "Moth er's day". The men sorted the dinner which every one enjoyed. A grange social Is planned tor March 25. Mrs. Ronald Wold came from Jefferson, Thursday, for a few days risit with her aunt, Mrs John Ransom. Mrs. R. J. Wataon has not been well since her return from Cali fornia. Her daughter, Mrs. A. E Freedon and husband of Port land spent Sunday at the Watson home. Mrs. Cornelia George and grandson, Arthur Parks, who hare been quite sick for a week. are much better and are able to T) out. Owen Thomason, who is work ng In Portland, drove up Sunday for a risit with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. P. E. Thomason. Mr. and Mrs.R. Lee Thelssen entertained Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Boone Potter and children. Frank,' Jean and Francine of Portland. Mr. Potter is a brother of Mrs. Thei3en's. Mr. and Mrs. Max A. Mrs. -Brown, remained with him. Erie Fulgham, superintendent of the Willamette Valley Lum ber company, and Earl Hibbard ananager of the Shell Oil com pany, made a business trip to Portland, Thursday. Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Starbuck eatertalned a group of friends at dinner Wednesday evening, In honor of Mrs. Starbuck's birth day anniversary. Mrs. Erie, Fulgham spent the latter part of the week visiting In Cascade Locks and Portland with relatites. The local chapter of the Pythian Sisters are sponsoring a t. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Moore are the proua parents of a seven pound girl, who arrived at the Dallas hospital, March 8, at 5:30 p. m. The young lady has been, named Blllie Laren Moore.
