Christ enson, operator of a Pioneer stage, was fined $25 in justice court Fri day and had his license taken him for 10 days. Chrlatesson had driv en 4 5 miles an hour on the Pa cific highway just north of Salem. He was arrested Wednesday on this charge. Tedder Case Off The trial of J. C. Tedder, arrested early this; week on a charge of threatening to kill his wife is to be postponed pending development of a divorce suit to be instituted In the near future by the wife. Announce ment was made to this effect in Justice court Friday. Tedder has been released an his own recog nizance. 9 Mrs. Fulkerson to Rosebnrg County Superintendent Fulkerson went to Roseburg Friday to ad dress a meeting of those interest ed in forming a new health organ ization there. She spoke upon some phase of school health de partments, pointing to the work being done in Marlon county through the health demonstration here. Larceny Charged Dallas K. Smith of North Salem has been arrested In Hoquiam, Washington, on a warrant sworn out here charging him with larceny in a dwelling. Sam Burkhart left Fri day to bring the prisoner to Salem. Smith having waived ex tradition. A young Woodburn wo man accused him of appropriat ing her portable phonograph to his own use and her brother accused him of stealing clothing from him at his residence in the Lake La bish section. School Officers to Meet Coun ty school officers will meet at 10 o'clock this morning in the coun ty court house for their annual session. J. S. Coomler of North 'Howell Is president of the offi cers, and will have charge of the morning business meeting. Miss Coleen Mennis will give a group of readings during the relaxation period just before noon. The af ternoon session will convene at 1:15 o'clock for a discussion of school problems and election of officers for the new year. Pros pective legislation will also be discussed.
