Resources of Portland's 2 banks as of June 30 were $3,008,110 greater than on February 2S of this year, figures were complied today following a call by the na tional comptroller of currency and by the state banking depart ment. Loans and discounts of the lo cal banks dropped from $74,287,- 332 on February 28 to $69,219, 171 as of June 30. That credit conditions are sound Is ehown by tbe decrease in loans and discounts which were as high as 192.111.582 in March 1925. Part of tbe difference Is accounted for by larger inrest ments In bonds and similar secur itles but a good part represents decreases In local borrowings. 0. SALEM. OREGOlSf pe.
