C. despatch to Che Oregonian says the board of army engineers there was asked today to concur in the favorable recommendation of the division en gineer on the Improvement- of Skipanon channel by G. Barlow ex plained that a greater depth than the 20 feet now available is need ed if partially loaded vessels com ing down the Columbia river are to take on lumber cargo at the Warrenton mills.
