through abandonment of soft winter
wheat acreage gave a decided npward
swing to the wheat market today. One
Chicago crop authority reported that in
Illinois, Indiana and Ohio 70 to 80 per
cent of the fielda seeded to soft varietiea
of wheat are practically a failure.
Closing quotations on wheat were firm
H to 1 5-8c net higher. Corn finished
7-8 to 1 3 8c up and oats unchanged to
