U. work of the new season were made at the last meeting, with Mrs. Jennie Nunh presiding. Mrs. Nunn has recently returned from her vaca tion. During her absence, the vice president, Mrs. Grace Carru thers, occupied the chair. 'Mrs. Shanks- conducted the de votionals. While no special pro gram was prepared, the- various members gave accounts of their vacation experiences. Of espec ial note was the talk by Mrs. Ada Cqndit, recording secretary. At the business) session, Mrs. Sarah Oliver, treasurer, reported that the debt on the piano had been fully cleared, the transac tion with the Tallman Piano peo ple having been completed In five months. Plans were made for a rum mage sale which will be held dur ing the third week in September. Donations of" any kind will be par ticularly acceptable. Clothing and furniture are in especial de mand. The proceeds of the sale will go into the building fund for the Children's Farm Home. A cooked food sale will be held at the same time. .The next meeting of the union will be a department meeting. Re ports of the conference in Seat tle will be given by Dr. Norman Kendall Tully, Ensign Pitt, apd others. A cordial Invitation is extended to' all those Interested to attend. It is hoped that many new-members will Join the W. C. T. U. this year. .
