The, American Legion team has four of these games to play, while the U. S. National bank has three. The schedule was so arranged as to give these teams a rest between games of at least three days. The Valley Motor Company has games to play with the Bank and Grotto teams, but will be unable to- play because of a rush of sum mer business. It will forfeit both these game3. Every team except the Valley 'Motor squad has a chance for first place. The Valley Motor has lost out because of its. forfeited games and loss of several of its best play ers. The championship series be tween the winners of the two leagues will be played during the week of August 1. It will consist cf a series of three games, winner Tf two of them to be champion. The winning yearns of the two leagues will" be given the option of making these games at either five, or seven .innings long. It is proposed that the Commer cial league winners be permitted to pick a team from the best-players of their. Jea&ue in order that t hey will be on an equal basis with the Twilight league champs, but this has not been acted upon. All teams are asked to turn in lists of their players, and an order has been published that no new players not on the lists can be used, except in case of absolute ne cessity. In such cases, the names of players must be passed on by the board In charge. Umpires wilt lcok over the player lists before each. game. Price, up first for the mail clerks, struck out, but Gibson reached rst on an error and stole second. Thonipson walked and advanced to third on Welbern't double, which scored Gibson. Tay lor rolled a slow one to Heath, who had the runner ' thrown; out at first by IS feet, but the initial sacker dropped the ball, permit ting Thompson to cross with the second run. For the rest of the. innings the contest developed into a pitching battle and both sides were blank ed until the fifth. The mailmen had Heath iu a bad hole in the fourth when four men got on base. One was thrown out at second and one at third, and with runners on Becond and third, the Eagle hurler forced Fisher to roll an ; easy grounder to short. The Eagles came in for their last time at bat two run3 beh'nd, and it looked as '.hough the post office was tii the air when Cade got to second on a short blow to right field. Uut the next two men were easy outs and the Birds got their only tally on Heath's smash to left along the thiTd base: line. Busick ended the game by ground ing out to third. By the win last night the Post office has a chance of tying for first place. They have one more game, which will be played: with the Guardsmen Tuesday, July 20. If they win that one they will be tied for first with the De Molay nine. On the other hand, the Guards, having another game to play with the 'Eagles, can cinch first place by winning, from both the Postoffice club and the Eagles If they lose one of the games they are definitely out of the running Lineup for the Postoffice-Eagles game last night: P. (By Associated Press.) A jury in dis trict court here tonight Unani mously decided a special verdict in favor of the estate of the late Senator W. A. Clark, in a con test brought by three women who claimed daughters' shares in the $47,000,000 left by the late cop per magnate. The jury found that there had been no marriage between Sen ator Clark and Tabltha C. (Kate) Brooks, mother of the three claim ants. Effie E. Clark McWilliams, and Alma E.
