" :;( A total of 121,971 Vehicles passed given points in the state of Oregon between the hours of 6 a. m. and 10 p. m., Wednesday, June 16, according to counts made by representatives of the state highway department. Of the total number of vehicles reportea 78.1U4 were passenger vehicles licensed in the state -of Oregon, 28, 327 were cars from other states while 1760 were stages and busses. There were 7645 trucks of one and one-half tons or less capacity, 4353 trucks of more than one and one-half tons capacity and 529 motor cycles. Horse-drawn vehicles numbered 763 or only .063 per cent of the total vehicles counted at the various stations. The largest number of vehicles passed the Parkplace bridge lo cated approimately 2 miles; north of Oregon City. A total of 3819. vehicles were counted at this point, including 2374 machines bearing Oregon licenses, 354 pas senger cars from other states, 652 trucks and 15 motorcycles, j Near the junction of the; Med-ford-Klamath Falls highwsy in Southern Oregon a total of 3045 vehicles were counted. These in cluded 1968 cars bearing Oregon licenses, 681 machines from1 other states, 42 stages and busses, 312 trucks, two motorcycles and two horse-drawn -vehicles. j The report of the highway de partment showed .that of the total cars counted 64.04 per cenitwere licensed in Oregon, 23.63 per cent were non-resident passenger cars, 1.44 per cent were stages and buses,' 6.27 per cent were trucks of on and one-half , tons or less capacity, 3.57 per cent were trucks of more than one and one' half tons capacity, .43 per cent were motorcycles and .62 per cent were horse-drawn vehicles.
