The most pretectius production program' ever launched by a single motion picture concern is how in full swing at the huge Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios lcated at Culver City; Calif, ays Manager Archie B. Holt, according to word ' just received by C. W. Mc Kee of the Heilig theatres from Louis B. Mayer under whose su pervision all Metro-Gldwyn pro ductions are made. Foremost among the new re leases is Marion Da vies' former success, her new picture is laid in the time of New York's infan cy; with settings and cast up to the usual Cosmopolitan standard. Conrad Nagel is seen opposite Miss Davies; the picture was di rected by M. Bell. Miss Davies has already started preparations for the filming of "Beverly of Grau- stark," which will be directed by Syd Franklin. Lon Chaney. who recently Bcored so heavily in ''The Tower of Lies' and "The Unholy Three,"-is now engaged in mak ing "The Mocking- Bird," an orig Inal story- by Tod Browning who will also direct the picture.
