' In the St. John's church the report car ried a vote of 42 for and 3 against. At Trinity church the report was rejected by a very large majoriy. The question " of holding both English and Norwegian services each Sunday was discussed in Trinity church but Was defeated, because this would Interfere with the Sunday school work. About 275 attend Sunday school regular ly. However, a change waa. made whereby services in the Norwegian language were confined to the first and third Sundays of tach month. Sunday evening services will be conducted in the English language at all times and will be held every Sunday evening. ""Another matter sought up at this meeting was that of selecting a representative for the commun ity health council. Tbe. council asked that Trinity congregation fend such a representative. Miss Thea Jensen, a trained 'nurse was chosen to fill this position- At ' the business meeting at St. John's church no changes were made in the language. English and Norwegian service alternate every other Sunday. No service's are held on Sunday evening as the evening is given over to the Luther Leagues meetings. Mrs. Jasper Dullum will represent St. John's congregation, on the com munity health council. Even the '.fire fhgine was presented with a large bou quet of flowers. It is- said that Ihe city officials were, busy ajl day getting ready for the epenihg. A club woman who had ,bttsiness in the.new library during this day reports that she even found one of the officials down on hia hand and,, knees cleaning off narks made by some one's shoes on the new floor. -1 Members of' the city council acted as the reception committee Wednesday night and showed the visitors about through the rooms. The hall is 44x55 feet and Was de signed by Charles RulLmaii, the city engineer. On the firstj floor are housed the fire department, the water department, the rjecord r and the police. In the basement are store rooms and the city jail. On the second floor are the en gineer's and the-mayor's ojff ices, the city council chamber arid he city library. The latter now con tains about 4000 books Mrs. Alice Kircher has. been chosen as librarian. The library willj open on Wednesdays ami Saturdays of each week. Col. E.
