John Roth came very near los ing his barn, filled with hay and grain and alsb( a large machine shed when a large straw stack be tween- the barn and shed eanght fire last Friday when Mr. Robert and his family, attended the lair. The fire which came acro33 the stubble from a. nearby straw stack which had - been burned but. con tained 'some fire in the ashes, was discovered by neighbors just when it reached the large straw stack. Help was summoned by t?lepbon? and in a short time plenty of help arrived to keep both building wet and prevented the fire from spreading: beyond the straw stack.
