The educational committee of

Car Stolen
Deputy Sheriff Lee of Eugene
reported the theft of a 1925 model
Moon le luxe sedan to the local
ponce station. The car, owned
by J. F. O'Day or Eugene, had a

car was stolen from Eugene about
9:30 Tuesday night.
Speeder Fined
Oscar H. Scherer of Portland
was arrested Tuesday night by
State Traffic Ofricer Reinhart on
a charge of speeding. Scherer was
driving on1 North Commercial at
the rate of 31 miles an hour. He
was released on bail of $10 and
cited to appear Wednesday morn
ing. He did- so, and was fined

The Daughters of the American
Revolution have arranged a pro
gram to be given at the Chamber
of Commerce auditorium this aft
ernoon at 2:30 o clock for the
purpose of observing Constitution

Plowing Under Way
The first plowing of the Willam
ette university campus was gotten
under way Wednesday morning,
and during the course of the day
the '' entire . section between State
street and Eaton hall, and east ot
the main walk was plowed. The
ground that lies too close to the
sidewalk- to allaw plowing will be
spaaed by hand. The ' present
plowing is shallow, its main pur
