For two years she was a member of the Salem high school faculty, having charge of the home economics depart ment. Last year she was a mem ber of the home economics depart ment of the Portland high schools. Mr. Allen is an upper classman at the North Pacific Dental college in Portland. Moore of Turner to Richard II. Farr of Sidney, at the First Congregational parsonage last Thursday morning. Rev. Ward officiated -at the service. i Mrs. Farr is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Moore of Turner and Is well known there, having attended the local high nchool, Mr. Farr Is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Farr of Sidney and has spent most of his life there. Following the ceremony the couple drove to Sidney where a wedding luncheon was served at the Farr home. Only immediate members of the family were pre sent at the ceremony and lunch eon. After a tour of the Oregon beaches Mr. and Mm. Farr will make their home in Turner. A wedding of Interest to Salem people Is that ot Miss Ethel May Goodman and Ellis J. Hill which took place at the parsonage of the First Christian church last Mon day evening. Rev. J. J. Evans )ff liciated at the service. There were no attendants. After a short trip to the Oregon beaches Mr. and Mm. Hill will make their home in Mill City. Rev and Mrs. Charles Ward and three children. Billy, Donald and Charles, left early In the week for a ten-day visit In Ashland with Mrs. Ward's grandmother, Mrs. M Inkier. They will return to Sa lem and will go directly from here to one of the Tillamook beaches to spend the remainder ot the month. ) . ! The first family reunion of the Looney and Doty families was an event of last Sunday on the banks of the Santiam. A delightful time was spent In conversation, games and swimming. A basket dinner was served at noon. At a meeting following the din ner it was decided to organize and make the reunion an annual event. W. H. Doty was chosen president and W. E. Doty secre tary. The gathering will be known hereafter -as the Looney- Doty reunion and will be held on the second Sunday of July each year. Those attending the affair last Sunday were: Mrs. A. V. Robert son.
