According' to Anderson and
Wait, the tower, which is to be. of
permanent construction with a
foundation of concrete,, will pro
ject into both streets, and 'that
any future travel on the roads will
be Impossible. Future bunding
on the streets will also be hinder
ed, they declare. . They maintain
that they will be hampered in
egress and ingress into their prop
erty. -
It is further stated that the tow
er will be unsightly and will per
manently Injure the value of the
property in the neighborhood.
Construction is rapidly being car
ried on. the plaintiffs say, and un
less relief, is obtained immediate
ly, further action will be useless. '

yond the eastern suburbs of Sa
lem, will start by Dodge auto for
a long trip this morning one last
ing about two months. They will
be .accompanied by. Mrs. - Carle
Abrams and her two children. ,
They will visit'. -Detroit, Mich.,
and Clyde, Mich. At the latter
place, they will visit; Mrs.. EarJ
Baker, who was Miss Bertha Dun
can.' Mr. Baker Is a dealer in ag
ricultural implements and has a
garage in dyde. He was a Salem
boy and a basebalt player with
national repute. They were' mar
ried In Salem.
The Duncan party will also visit
lierrln'lll., where Mr. Duncan
was raised. The town of Herrin
was flamed for an ' uncle of his
Williamson county. In which Her
rin is situated, was famous for Its
kxeuds, even in those days.
V , Mrs. Duncan's people live in
Indianapolis. Ind. There is where
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan were mar
ried. The party will visit at In
dlanapolM and also at Chicago,
where a( brother of Mrs. Duncan,

C D. Gosa died at his home In Sil
verton Thursday afternoon. He
had been an invalid for a number
OfTyears as a result of paralytic
stroke, and suffered aa especial
ly severe stroke Monday Irom
which he did not recover. Mr.
Goss was born" In Pennsylvania but
came to Silverton from Wisconsin
.about twenty-two yeara ago. Had
he lived he would 1 have been
seventy-six years old In October!
Funeral services will be held from
the Methodist. church. Rev. S..W.
