Funeral Services Held - Funeral services were held this week for George Young, Salem youth who died recently at the naval hospital at San Diego, Cat. The death resulted from an acute attack of appendicitis and pneu monia, the two combining to weaken his system to such an ex tent that the effort of the ser vice doctors were of no avail. At death George Young was 18 years of age, a" former student ' at the Salem high school where he was well known. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Young, residents of Salem. Young enlisted in the United States navy last August.
