More Twins Reported . -"
From time to time the twins of
the county are being enumerated,
with the latest report coming from
Pratnm. This brings the number
quite high, and far beyond the
expectations of the reporter. The
newest finds are Hal and Helen
Cross, who were fire years old on
January 21. They will attend
school at Pratum next year.

the oratorical contest to he held
at 'Monmouth next Friday. The
contest is to be state wide and
will include some of the leading

Students Seek Loans ,
Applications are now being filed
by a number of Willamette uni
versity students for a loan from
the Methodist board of education.
The ' loan ' fund of the board is
available to any ' Methodist stud
ent of the university. The rating
of the tstudent determines the
amount they can borrow from the
board. The maximum that a sen
ior may receive is $200. for a
junior $150, and for a sophomore
or freshman $100.- The amount

Nellie Rambo Sanders, inmate
of the state institution for the
feeble minded, is being unlaw
fully detained, according to the
writ of habeas corpus filed yes
terday by Theodore Henry Rambo,
father, and George W. Sanders,
husband of .the woman. The
Rambo girl escaped about Christ
mas time from the state institu
tion and later married Sanders,
with whom she' lived at the Van
couver 'Barracks for a few weeks
before being recaptured. The
complaint states that the woman
