FHLIO HIGH IlLCOlfiPETE Portland Championship Team Accepts Invitation to Play in Tournament , The Portland winner will eater the state ; tournament to be held here March 12, 13 and 14. The Oregon State High School i Ath letic association has' definitely de cided to InTlte Franklin high, the -winner of the Portland series, and the Invitation has' been accepted, according to Information' given by Coach Guy L. Rathbon. While the - Willamette officials have nothing to do with the selection of teams, the statement is official, coming from the Oregon ; high 'school board. - ' -. . , .- - v The Willamette gym has been rearranged to accommodate the Urge crowd expected, all avail able space not taken by the -U V. - J vicwucn is ivt uw jsv ariaugeu s to be available for standing room. At present a total of over 2.000 spectators can be accommodated. All districts have not yet re ported as to their representatire team, however; Salem high will represent district .No.. 7, having met and defeated all other con - tenders from this section. The Salem record includes two wins over Silverton, two over Independ . ence, two over Dallas and two over West Lynn. .In the outside competition Salem 'lost but to two -teams of high school standing .
