Slow Game Here
Keeping up the old fight the Sa
lem high quintet took the Dallas
team into camp last night by a
score of 2 1 to 6. Dallas started
the fireworks by making the first
basket, but that was Just a begin
ning for the Salem team opened
up and : annexed several points.
Things milled along without much
dash until' the last of the first half
when the game ended with Salem
holding the score 13 to 5. I
At the end of the third quarter
Salem's subs went in and the Dal
las team failed to do so. t The
Dallas team made their last point
when they annexed a free throw.
The game was not as speedy as
some of them played on the local
floor this year, but it showed that
the Dallas team was coming along.
They received some valuable train
ing last night, and will be more
formidable contenders. Salem
failed to convert on the long shots
that were given to them, and as a
result the score was not as large
as it; might have been.
