Four Fatal Accidents -Four fatal accidents out of a total of 569 industrial mishaps were reported1 to the state indus trial accident commission for the week ending April 24. The fatal cases were Fan Godfrey, Medford, lineman; William H. Owens : of Reedsport, ' bucker; Joseph ; E. Worth, Portland, grain Inspector; Lester W. Smith. Medford, swamp er. Of the total number of acci dents reported 480 were subject to the provisions of the workmen's compensation act, 87 were from firms and corporations that have not elected to come under the act. and two were from public utility corporations not subject to the act. Lj, Wilson organizer, to war rant the 'installation of this ser vice in the Salem schools. Mr, Wilson explained his plan t the school board Tuesday night and was given permission to call upon the bankers and obtain their co operation. Oregon City is the only city in Oregon to have the service in use in the schools, though more than 300 cities throughout the country have adopted the system, as it is designed to stimulate sav ings by students while in school. Bradley came from Hood River county in November, 1923 for con viction of forgery, ! to serve 15 months. He was made a trusty April 9, and would soon have been eligible for . parole consideration.
