It now reads, "Resolved, That the United States supreme court be denied the right to declare acts of con gress unconstitutional except by unanimous vote." Triangular Debate Arranged A t triangular freshman inter collegiate debate will take place in, the spring between Willamette universiay, OAC and University og Oregon. At each of the institu tions the affirmative team will hold forth while the negative team goes . to one of the other col leges. As a result of the arrange ment of this debate is was decid ed that a special freshman team be selected at Willamette. With Mrs. Paul Petri of Portland, Miss Byrd en tered the taxicab and gave her bag to the driver, who placed it in the cab and proceeded to the Ben son hotel. When Miss Byrd I and Mrs. Petri arrived at the hotel the bag. was gone. The Portland po lice were notified but no trace qf the bag has been found. Much progress Is being made on the new addition to the paper and pulp mill on South Commercial. The forms supporting the concrete have been removed and glass win dows, similar to those used in the construction of the main portion of the plant, have been placed on the south. Salem depends . very largely for its prosperity trpon the good will of the people of a big district.. They should ttU. but own the city,-while they are the guests of Salem. Salem ought to have the new est proposed paper mill, which is to be built outside the city limits of Portland. But those who are promoting" it say it could not be built close,' to the business or residence center.
