Notwithstanding contrary claims by the Toledo baseball club of Lincoln county, the Salem Sena tors will continue to hold the title of state champions, according to Manager Harry Wenderoth. Toledo apparently , has a good team, as it has played 18 games this season without defeat. The strength of the team, however. Is indicated that it defeated the Yeo man team of Salem by only one wore, and the Yeoman team wasn't considered as approaching the class of the Senators. , Manager Wenderoth received a letter from the Toledo club last week bidding for a game or a series o( three games on the To ledo grounds, but inasmuch as the Senators had arranged to disband after the game with the Portland Woodmen last Sunday, the Toledo contest could not be considered.
