Oregon Funny Addresses Found On Letters Written Here It is the letter wrongly ad dressed or the one that omits part of the address that takes up much o the time of the "nixie" man at the postotflce, for it is to him that such problems are referred. For instance, yesterday a letter was mailed at, the Salem postot fice with the following address: "Miss Beatrice McCarren, &n Cedar street." That was all and now the n'xie Lunches and Confections Tor Tonriata Free Camp Gronnda Log Cabin Restaurant On Portland 8CAPPOOSE A Aator! Highway . OEXaON citv in the United States with Cedar street. Another letter mailed at Salem this week was addressed: . Miss Frances Hoffman. Saw, Or." There is no such postofftw n Oregon and th chances ars that as "Saw" will be rather a hard postoffice to locate anywhere the letter will to to the dead letter of! ice. Another Utter rnalleJ in Salem a few ago was addressM to "Mrs. Claude Thayer, Hotel Clar amont." . There are a number of hotels in the country with such a name and this letter' of course will be delayed a few weeks at tha dead letter oftice in Washington, and then if the writer le,ft an address, it will be returned. - Moral: Always write your w turn address on the upper lett hand corner of the envelop niVERSIDE.1 Cal..
