In cos tuming and. spirit the two occa sions were Identical. The party was a Mi-Careme festival arrang ed for. the pupils of Mrs. R. L. White's danefng school. To the young, folk, who will bo the belles and beaux of a few years hence, the evening was onq of unalloyed dlight. and the moth ers and not a few fathers and mends enjoyed the affair very much in the same manner. Many of the i spectators, - who had not previously witnessed a similar af fair were surprised at the pains taking; rare and originality dis played in the costumes, and the dancing also Was a revelation The music was excellent, and to Us rhythm the youngsters danced tho same waltzes, fox trots and Hesitations , mat the grown-ups find delight in this winter. The children, made their entrance one at. a time, courtesying as they came. ; When they .were all in they chose their partners without respect i to age c r size and the party was in swing from that moment until the last child had been i taken home by mother or maid. - i x - The same1 attractive decorative scheme employed for the Christ mas eve dancing party fdr Miss Margaret White was left intact for this occasion. The youthful participants made a motley aggregation of Indians cowboys, as was to be expected if boys 'were allowed to express their natural bent. Chinese were there, Turkish girls, flowers and butterflies, fairies and pierrota. follies and ct-mics, all mingling in the gayest frolic of the Juvenile. season..; In fact there is but one real dance in a year for the boys JANUARY 2, 1921 and girls of the ages represented' Monday night, and that is the "fancy dress." Among the more striking; cos tumes noted there was that of Henry Wesley Thiclson, who Im personated a bold, dashing pirate, even to the fierce black mous tache, turban and flaming scarf ijrorn as a girdle. Mildred Roberts was a rosebud with a costume of green net, set off with tiny pink rosebuds.
