It became known here today. The reduction was agreed upon at a meeting of the wage committee or the Loyal Legion of Ixgcers and Lumber; men and mill operators. The op erators explained that they would have to close entirely under ex isting market conditions or re duce the present wage scale and the committee agreed to accept the reduction, a provision being made that the SO cent decrease should be again be placed upon their pay cheeks when the price of lumber advanced. Warrants for seven men were Issued and, three federal prohibition agents were suspended today as the start of an investigation into alleged conspiracies between federal ag ents and wholesale whiskey deal ers to evade the prohibition en forcement law. Dairy m pie, federal prohibition enforcement officer, charged that federal agents were "tipping off hotels' and cafes of raids he planned and that a group of liquor dealers negotiated with federal agents in connection with the moving of hundreds of cases of whiskey.
